Community Coffee Company Announces Board and Management Changes to Support Future Plans

Elections ensure leadership
continuity for sustained growth
Baton Rouge, La. (June 6, 2012) – Community Coffee
Company, the largest family-owned and operated retail coffee brand in America,
today announced the results of its most recent Board of Directors’ elections,
which occurred on
June 6, 2012. The results will ensure the continuity of strong leadership
required to execute the company’s future growth plans.
Matt
Saurage was elected Chairman of the Board, succeeding Norman Saurage who served
as chairman for the past 26 years. Matt Saurage, the fourth generation of
the Saurage family and great-grandson of the Founder, served as President and
Chief Executive Officer since 2005. Norman Saurage will continue to serve
on the board as a director, providing guidance and valuable insight he has
acquired over the past 60 years with the company.
Community
Coffee Company also made key organizational promotions, including David
Belanger who assumes the position of president and chief executive
officer. He has been with Community Coffee since 1998 and rapidly
advanced from general manager of operations to senior vice president and most
recently chief operating officer. His demonstrated passion will serve the
company in realizing its vision to be the best coffee company in America.
Annette
Vaccaro was promoted to senior vice president and will continue to serve as the
company’s treasurer and chief financial officer, having assumed these
responsibilities in 2004. She has more than 14 years of experience in the
company’s finance, risk management, information systems, and human resources
areas, and she will oversee the multi-year expansion plan of the company’s
roasting facility in Port Allen.
Danny
Hebert, who joined the company in 1990 as a sales representative, was promoted
to vice president of Human Resources. He has been overseeing the
company’s recruiting, training, development and employee services since he was
appointed Human Resources Director in 2009.
