Community Coffee Company's State Coffee Campaign Commemorates Its 25th Anniversary as the State Coffee of Louisiana™
September 11, 2012-
Baton Rouge, La. – Twenty-five years
ago, Community Coffee Company was named the State Coffee of Louisiana™ by its
customers. To commemorate this quarter-century milestone, the company is giving
Louisiana residents the opportunity to vote for their favorite Community®
coffee blend during its State Coffee Campaign. Community Coffee Company will
announce the winning blend on Nov. 5, a day before the presidential election.
Five Community coffee blends are on the ballot: Five Star
Hotel Blend™, Colombia Classico, Café Special®, Breakfast Blend and Signature
Blend Dark Roast. There is also an option to enter your favorite blend should
it not already appear on the ballot. As the Community Coffee Company Trolley
Café travels throughout the state to grocery stores and family-friendly events,
Louisiana residents can head to the polls (at the trolley events) where voting
will take place via iPads. To follow the mobile voting trolley, click here. Customers also can make their voices heard by
visiting www.StateCoffeeofLouisiana.com.
"In honor of the upcoming election, we wanted to launch
our own campaign to commemorate the 25th anniversary as the State Coffee of
Louisiana. We've brought five highly qualified candidates to the ballot, all
unique in taste and personality, and we hope that this campaign will bring out
the fun and delicious side of the voting process," said Matt Saurage,
chairman - Community Coffee Company.
Community Coffee Company also saw this as an opportunity to
further its connection to education by partnering with the 2013 Louisiana
Teacher of the Year, Dr. Amy Weems from Ouachita Junior High School, to develop
a lesson plan to educate students on Louisiana’s official and unofficial state
symbols and voting process. The plan will be available in early September at CommunityCoffee.com/CashForSchools.
