What You Need:
Coarsely grind your whole bean coffee to result in 1 cup of grounds. Coarsely ground coffee should have about the same consistency as sea salt. (If you don't have a coffee grinder, you can use our ground Dark & Bold Espresso Roast instead. Just decrease your brew time to 16‐18 hours to accommodate the finer grind size.)
Combine the ground coffee and water in your brewing container and stir, making sure the grounds are fully saturated. Cover with lid. (For a stronger taste, use 3 cups of water instead of 4.)
Steep your coarsely ground coffee in the fridge for 16–24 hours. The longer you steep, the stronger its flavor will be.
Attach the cheesecloth to the lip of your fridge-storage container using a rubber band or string. After the coffee has finished steeping, strain it through the cheesecloth into the container to separate the spent grounds from your cold brew.
Pour the strained coffee over ice to keep it cold while drinking. Add your favorite creamer or sweetener if desired, and enjoy! Your cold brew should yield 3‐4 servings and last about 4‐5 days in your fridge.
