Meet the Flavor Faceoff Champion: Chantilly Cream

During our search for a new limited-edition coffee flavor, we put the power in your hands! During early 2019, we held a Flavor Faceoff that started with eight unique and delicious coffee blends: Spiced Apple Caramel, Chantilly Cream, Horchata, Gingerbread Latte, Maple Brown Sugar, Hot Cinnamon Latte, Maple Pecan Cinnamon Roll and Pistachio Coffee Cake. Each round, two flavors went head-to-head and our customers voted for their favorite on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. In the end, Chantilly Cream reigned supreme as the winner!

What is Chantilly Cream?

Chantilly cream is a smooth and satiny sweetened whipped cream. To make this delicious topping, you only need three ingredients: whole fresh cream, powdered sugar and vanilla extract.

This cream is used around the world to complement a variety of desserts and treats, including fresh fruit, pastries, pies, coffee, waffles and more.

The History of Chantilly Cream

The recipe for Chantilly cream dates back to recipe books more than 350 years old! However, the name for this classic whipped cream is commonly attributed to the story of French Chef François Vatel who worked in Château de Chantilly. During a large event, the chef had to make up for a shortage of cream and "created" Chantilly cream.
