H. Norman Saurage III, grandson of our Founder and former Chairman of the Board, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2015, as a result of ALS which was diagnosed in January of last year.
Over Norman’s 59-year career with the Company, he worked tirelessly to build an enduring Company that would always be a resource to employees, customers, and the communities we serve for generations to come.
In Norman’s words, from a letter he wrote last year following his diagnosis: “My lifetime mission is to make a difference that is good and lasting. I do hope that I have made a better and lasting difference in life for you. You have been better to me than I ever deserved, and I am forever grateful to you.”
