Company Launches Community Cash for Schools® Program for 2015-2016 School Year
Baton Rouge, LA—Community Coffee Company is proud to announce the start of its 27th annual Community Cash for Schools® program, which helps participating schools earn money by collecting UPC labels from all Community® brand products.
Last year, participating schools earned the largest payout in the history of the Community Cash for Schools® program with 833 schools across the region collecting more than 3.7 million UPCs. Additionally, top earning schools doubled their check amounts.
“We are excited and proud to once again promote the Community Cash for Schools® program in our home state,” said David Belanger, President and CEO of Community Coffee Company. “We feel that it’s important for the business and economic development of Louisiana that schools receive the support they need to educate our youth.”
Since the program’s inception in 1988, Community Coffee Company has donated millions to local public and private schools. These funds continue to be used for school programs and projects that best serve Louisiana students’ needs, including new playground equipment, textbooks, computers, whiteboards and more.
In order to participate, students, teachers and their local communities work together to collect UPC labels from Community® coffee and tea products found at grocery stores, hotels and businesses. As a whole, schools then submit the UPCs as instructed at CommunityCoffee.com/CashforSchools.
To sign up, school administrators can visit CommunityCoffee.com/CashforSchools and click on the “Enroll Online” link. Before enjoying a delicious cup of Community® coffee, customers should remember to save UPCs (bar codes) from all Community® products. To submit, please download the UPC Tracking Form online and bundle all UPCs as instructed.
Community® coffee is available for purchase on the company website and at grocery stores throughout the Southeast region of the United States. For more information, please visit CommunityCoffee.com.
Community Coffee Company is committed to supporting the local communities where we do business and dedicates between 2.5% – 3.0% of its pretax income to socially responsible charitable programs, with education and the Community Cash for Schools® program being at the center of the Company’s philanthropic program.
