September 12, 2016, Baton Rouge, LA — For regional favorite Community Coffee Company, the flood relief effort in south Louisiana is far from over. From September 12 to October 2, for every Community® coffee purchase of specially-marked products, the company will donate 10% of proceeds to the rebuilding of its great home state. The Rebuilding Louisiana campaign contribution will support flood relief efforts through the Salvation Army by providing funds up to $100,000.
“Even though we were happy to provide 300,000 cups of Community® coffee to flood evacuees and first responders, our work is far from over,” said David Belanger, president & CEO of Community Coffee Company. “We came up with this initiative so that customers can connect to the cause in the best way we know how, through our coffee.”
Consumers can support Community Coffee Company’s relief efforts by purchasing specially-marked Community® coffee products at retail grocery locations in Louisiana and Mississippi, including 16oz firm pack Dark Roast, Medium Roast, Between Roast and Coffee & Chicory.
Plus, with every purchase of a 20oz or 24oz cup of Community® coffee at convenience stores in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Northshore, New Orleans, Alexandria, Houma and Lake Charles, the company will donate 10% of those proceeds as well.
