Baton Rouge, LA — Community Coffee Company is pleased to announce the start of its 30th annual Community Cash for Schools® program, which helps schools earn money by collecting Proofs of Purchase from all Community® brand products.
Since the program’s inception in 1988, Community Coffee Company has helped public and private schools throughout the region generate over $7.4 million. These funds are used for programs and initiatives that best serve students’ needs, such as new playground equipment, textbooks, computers, school events and more.
“We’re thrilled to have reached this milestone and proud of what the program has accomplished,” said David Belanger, President and CEO of Community Coffee Company. “As we kickoff the program’s 30th year and look forward to our company’s Centennial Celebration, we are excited to continue supporting local communities and students once again and for many years to come.”
Last year, more than 800 schools participated in the program and earned over $325,000 for their teachers and students. More than 75 schools earned over $1,000, and the top earning school, Sts. Leo-Seton Catholic School in Lafayette, LA, earned $6,800 alone.
In order to participate, students, teachers and their local communities work together to collect Proof of Purchase labels from Community® coffee and tea products purchased at grocery stores, hotels and businesses. As a whole, schools then submit the labels as instructed at CommunityCoffee.com/CashforSchools. Once submitted, these product Proofs of Purchase are redeemed for cash that each school can spend on programs that support children’s educational needs.
To sign up, school administrators should visit CommunityCoffee.com/CashforSchools and click on the “Enroll Now” link. Before enjoying a rich, smooth cup of Community® coffee, customers should remember to save Proof of Purchase labels from all Community® products. After collecting these labels, school administrators can then download the Tracking Form online and bundle all labels as instructed.
Community® coffee is available for purchase on the company website and at grocery stores throughout the Southeast region of the United States. For more information, please visit CommunityCoffee.com.
Community Coffee Company is committed to supporting the local communities where we do business and dedicates approximately 2.5% of its pretax income to socially responsible charitable programs, which is well above the industry average.
