The British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standard for Food Safety certification provides Community® coffee an internationally-recognized mark of food quality, safety and responsibility – increasing retailer and consumer confidence. The inspection process includes an intensive three day audit of the plant processing facilities and documentation.
The BRC Standard demands high levels of compliance, and the certification program is wide ranging, establishing a series of standards to help companies comply with food safety legislation and to provide guidelines for the manufacture of safe, quality food products. BRC requires extensive document creation in numerous areas including: traceability, internal audits, employee training, document control and supplier compliance / conformance.

GFSI was established to ensure confidence in the delivery of safer food to consumers, while continuing to improve food safety throughout the supply chain. The British Retail Consortium (BRC) is recognized as one of a handful of GFSI benchmarked food safety schemes. Both GFSI and BRC do not undertake any audit or certification activities; therefore we use American Institute of Baking (AIB) as our certifying body. AIB performs the audit and inspection and holds us accountable to global standards of the BRC scheme.
