– This year, almost 800 schools participated in the Community Cash for Schools® program, earning over $321,000 from Proof of Purchase collection.
“We are happy to see so many schools in our local community utilize this program to advance the education of our students,” Jodi Conachen, Community Coffee General Manager of Communications.
Now in its 28th year, the Community Cash for Schools® program has helped schools across the region earn millions of dollars by collecting Proofs of Purchase from Community® brand products, including coffee and tea products.
The program is open to local public and private schools from Pre-K through 12th grade. Schools allocate the money earned toward initiatives and projects such as new computers, textbooks, equipment, whiteboards, and other educational necessities.
"It's heartwarming to see so many schools and educators involved in this program to further educate and support the next generation," Janet Lathrop, H. Norman Saurage III Service Award recipient. "These funds help support children and give them access to materials and resources they might not have had."
