It’s a joy to create community over coffee, and that goes beyond sharing moments with others. Each cup is an invitation for you to be part of our giving programs, designed to bring people together in support of community heroes.

Giving through coffee traces all the way back to our founder, “Cap” Saurage. He believed in always giving his grocery-store patrons a little something extra. (In South Louisiana, we call that “lagniappe.”) He served them complimentary cups of his special coffee blend, just because, and the relationships they formed inspired Community Coffee in 1919.

Now, over 105 years later, we still use our coffee for good. By supporting and giving back to local communities, every cup makes a difference to the people and places that make us Community Coffee.
