Since 1988, the Community Cash for Schools program has brought communities together to raise over $8.7 million for their local schools. Last year marked another incredible turnout for the program, as over 400 participating schools raised more than $150,000 for educational resources!

Congratulations to the 3 top-earning schools in the 2024–2025 program:
- Mermentau Elementary School in Mermentau, Louisiana: over $4,100
- Mandeville High School MC JROTC in Mandeville, Louisiana: over $4,000
- Sts. Leo-Seton Catholic School in Lafayette, Louisiana: over $3,800
The 2025–2026 Community Cash for Schools program is underway, so now’s the time to get involved. Read on for more information about the program, as well as instructions for teachers and school supporters.
WHAT IS COMMUNITY CASH FOR SCHOOLS?
The Community Cash for Schools program allows schools to earn money by redeeming Proofs of Purchase found on Community® products. Participating schools encourage parents, teachers, and other supporters to collect Proofs of Purchase, bringing communities together in support of a great cause.
The cash earned can be spent at each school’s discretion — no strings attached. Schools can put the money toward resources like new textbooks, computers, playground equipment, or events that benefit students.
HOW DOES COMMUNITY CASH FOR SCHOOLS WORK?
The program allows schools to earn money in just 4 simple steps:
- ENROLL: Program Coordinators can easily enroll their school for each program year. Community Cash for Schools is open to all state-licensed schools from Pre-K through 12th grade.
- COLLECT: Parents, teachers, and other school supporters cut out Proofs of Purchase from Community® products and save them throughout the program year. The more they collect, the more their schools earn.
- SUBMIT: Supporters submit Proofs of Purchase to their schools, which then tally and mail them to us. All schools must postmark Proofs of Purchase and Tracking Forms by Jan. 31 of each program year.
- CASH IN & CELEBRATE: We mail each school their check by the end of the school year — and hold special celebrations for the top earners!
HOW CAN I HELP MY SCHOOL EARN CASH?
Individuals or businesses looking to raise money for schools can get involved by doing the following:
- Check if your school is enrolled in the program by using the “Find Your School” search box on our Community Cash for Schools page. If your school isn’t enrolled, contact the administration about participating in the program.
- Ask your school’s Program Coordinator how they’d like you to submit Proofs of Purchase toward their collection.
- Collect Proofs of Purchase throughout the program year. The more you collect, the more money your school will earn.
- Submit Proofs of Purchase to your school’s Program Coordinator according to their instructions. Schools must postmark all Proofs of Purchase by Jan. 31 of each program year, so make sure you submit your collection ahead of the deadline.
- Spread the word about the program and help your school become one of the top earners!
TIPS FOR TEACHERS
School staffers can make a big difference for their students and colleagues by organizing Community Cash for Schools efforts. Below are ways to ensure your school makes the most of this wonderful program:
- Enroll your school for the 2025–2026 program year. You can find a step-by-step “How To Register” video under the “Resources” tab on our Community Cash for Schools page, or call 1-800-884-5282 for assistance. Once enrolled, you can invite other teachers to become Program Coordinators.
- Use the helpful resources available on our website and on your digital dashboard when logged in. You’ll find program instructions, mailing labels for your submissions, and even flyer templates to inform others about the program.
- Spread the word in school newsletters, handouts, assemblies, and emails. The more parents and supporters collecting Proofs of Purchase, the more money your school can earn.
- Collect Proofs of Purchase yourself — because every one counts!
- Make plans to submit your Proofs of Purchase by Jan. 31 of each program year. All Proofs of Purchase and Tracking Forms must be postmarked by that date, or they will be held for the next program year.
